Dinner at the Contago, Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur

This is our last hosting dinner for participant this year. Next year the budget has been cut and the dinner is not in the list. Oh sad!

Tonight we had dinner at the Contago Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The food here was really nice. The most love counter was the Japanese food. The second counter that I like was theItalian. I seldom eat rice or Malay spread here. The dessert counter which served varieties of ice-cream, cakes, fruits and sweet dessert such macaron and cupcake etc also superb! They also gave free flow cordial drinks and hot beverage. The dinner rate was about RM115 perhead. Not too expensive right! 


Jeruk mangga


I made jeruk mangga last night. A simple salad that you can eat while watching TV or at your free time.

Just a pinch of salt, a bit of sugar, 1-2 bird-eye chillies and 'asamboi'. Add all to the chopped mangoes (about 3 mangoes). Preferably young mangoes.

Then leave it in the refrigerator for about 3-5 hrs. Then walla!! It's ready to eat!

Seminar Usahawan Tudung

On 27 September 2015, me and my sister attended a seminar on how to be a hijab entrepreneur. Well, to be a successful entrepreneur we have to attend few seminars or courses in order for us to equip ourselves with the knowledge of a successful entrepreneur. INSYAALLAH.



Congo Bars









I never eat congo bars yet. Would love to try some one day. The pictures above were from my sister. She made congo bars last week. Here are the ingredients for the congo bars. She modified a bit so the taste not too sweet.

CONGO BARS 
Ingredients
150gm butter (e.g anchor or scs)
200g brown sugar
3 eggs size A
320g all-purpose flour (can use superfine)
2 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essense
200g chocolate chips
50g walnut (chopped and toasted) 
sprinkle  the almond to the mixture before it put to the oven
Use pan size  10x 10

Note: Preparation similar to cake.

Hari Raya Idul Adha 2015

Raya Idul Adha this year was on 24 October 2015, two weeks ago.

We arrived at Gurun, Kedah already afternoon of first day Raya. My elder sister prepared Laksa and Lontong. Well, I don't know why, that day I forgot to eat Lontong. haha..maybe full with other foods.

Pen-pals





How many of you heard about International Youth Service (IYS)? I have my first pen-pals friend from IYS. That was in 1987. I remembered I wrote a letter and sent to a friend in France. Unfortunately, the letter gone missing. But funny, my pen-pals wrote me back in French which I cannot understand. So I wrote her back and I think that was the last communication we had. Language problem I suppose!
